Athletics
The newest addition to our Kid Fit Cardio™ programming is our athletic conditioning program designed specifically for young athletes. Whether the child is involved in team or individual sports, our group conditioning classes will improve their game.
What is taught in the Athletics Class?
The Athletics program focuses on core skills that are often not taught in standard sport practices. Children will improve strength, speed, agility, quickness, balance, coordination, flexibility and overall conditioning in a fun and high energy environment with exercises that are specifically designed to target the core group of muscles needed for youth sport. Classes focus on individual, partner and group circuits that keep the children moving for the entire time they are in class. These classes are offered to teams or to individuals and can be customized for individual sports.
How often are the classes?
The Athletics class is 45 minutes in length and is suggested to be offered two or three times per week. Each individual Kid Fit Cardio™ location will have separate formatting for this class. Should the Athletics program be fitted to an entire team, the training schedule can be adapted to team needs and desires. Kid Fit Cardio™ Athletics is a great training program for off days during the season and an excellent way to stay sharp during the off-season.
What do the Children receive in class?
Every child that registers for an Athletics program at a Kid Fit Cardio™ location will receive a student
manual that details appropriate eating for a high performance athlete, proper training techniques and protocol as well as interactive portions that include allowing kids to design their own workouts and keep track of their own diets to see what meals provide the most energy, endurance and so forth. The children will also receive student t-shirts (first time participants only) and certificates that the end of the 12 week session.
For team training, manuals, t-shirts and certificates are optional.
